Boohoo’s “Eco-Friendly” Illusion
Boohoo is marketing items as “Eco-Friendly” without providing clear, verifiable proof to back up these claims. In many cases, there’s zero transparency on what makes these products sustainable—leaving customers in the dark while fuelling greenwashing.

GYMSHARK ECO-FRIENDLY BLACK SWIMSUIT
This swimsuit carries the “eco-friendly” label, yet Boohoo provides no explanation or material breakdown to justify the claim.

GERALD DLX ECO FRIENDLY PADDED JACKET
Marketed as “eco-friendly” purely because it’s made from 100% recycled polyester—but here’s the catch: 98% of recycled polyester comes from downcycled plastic bottles, disrupting the bottle recycling system and creating a dead-end waste problem. Boohoo presents this as a sustainability win, but it’s far from a real solution.
Without rigorous standards or proof, Boohoo’s eco-friendly marketing is nothing more than a smokescreen. Consumers deserve real sustainability—not just buzzwords and empty promises.
