Stan Smith Trainers

Adidas were caught red-handed for their misleading advert on their iconic Stan Smith trainers.

The brand claimed the shoes are ‘100% iconic, 50% recycled’ which was deemed to be misleading by France’s Jury de Déontologie Publicitaire, as it suggested 50% of the total product was made from recycled materials when it is not. The product was also branded with an ‘end plastic waste’ logo which was decided to be misleading. The use of recycled plastic for shoes continues to promote a false solution.
